A health & wellness program dedicated to serving the growing 50+ community. For a minimal lifetime fee, members are able to participate in a wide array of activities througout the year. From exercise classes and day-trip opportunities, local discounts and services to health screenings and lectures, the possibilities and benefits are endless.

Weekly Events

Mall Walking Every morning Monday-Saturday, 8 a.m. and Sundays, 11 a.m., the Paddock Mall opens for our Golden Friends walkers.  Incentive gifts for reaching certain milestones presented at  our TGIF Open House the 3rd Friday each month.  FREE blood pressures each Wednesday, 8:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m.

Exercise Class Every Monday and Wednesday, 9 am in the West Marion Medical Plaza 2nd floor classroom.  Very low impact.  Call 401-1338 for more information.  Free to Golden Friends members.

Tai Chi The most popular form of Martial Arts.  These classes rely on gentle, flowing motions and are taught by a certified instructor every Monday, 10:30 a.m. at the Compass Gym in the 40 East Shopping Center.  $10 for a 4-week session for our members and new sessions begin each month.  Call 401-1338 for more information.

Water Aerobics Classes meet every Monday-Thursday at Newton J. Perry Aquatic Center at Central Florida Community College and are taught by a certified instructor.  Fee: $1.50 per visit for Golden Friends members.

Line Dancing Every Tuesday at Compass Gym, 40 East Shopping Center.  Beginners and Intermediate Classes.  $10/6-week series.  Call 401-1338 for more information.

Ballroom Dancing Each Wednesday at Compass Gym, 40 East Shopping Center.  Beginners, Intermediate and Performing Group sessions available.  $10/4-week session.  Call 401-1338 for more information.

TGIF Every 3rd Friday in Golden Friends Office in the Paddock Mall at 8:45 am.  Incentive awards presented to our Golden Friends mallwalkers, water aerobics participants, and exercise class participants.  FREE continental breakfast served.

Fun Day 3rd Wednesday each month.  A special function planned for our members!
