Thank you for your interest in our volunteer program. Our volunteer program is composed of approximately 250 active members who provide volunteer services for Ocala Regional Medical Center and West Marion Community Hospital.

Purpose

The purpose of this organization is to render services to Ocala Regional Medical Center and West Marion Community Hospital. The members actively participate and promote goodwill through services approved by the governing Board of the hospitals and the membership.

Ocala Regional Medical Center is a 200 bed full-service hospital. Ocala Regional features the Bariatric Center, Cancer Center, Heart and Vascular Center, Neuroscience Center, Womens Center and Wound Care Center. It also has the only approved cancer center in Marion County.

West Marion Community Hospital is one mile west of I-75, off of SR 200. This 70-bed all private room hospital is a full service hospital and is home to the only Joint Care Center in Marion County.

There are a variety of services from which to choose. Every effort is made to match your interests with available service areas:

Information Desk, Gift Shop, Pharmacy, Waiting Rooms, Radiology, Food Service, Ancillary Departments, Medical Records, Human Resources, Emergency Department and Pastoral Care.

Hospital Partnership

The hospitals' administration express their appreciation in various ways throughout the year. As a volunteer, you may enjoy a complimentary meal of your choice at every shift, a hospital-supplied uniform, flu-shots, annual tuberculosis test, photo ID, special discounts to Florida attractions,  room upgrade to private room when available, annual awards banquet and ongoing special events throughout the year. Requirements include 100 hours of volunteer duty per year in four hour blocks.
